E.1 SSA**E component tests (option)
Safety space arrangement SSA**E is an optional feature. For more information on identifying
and using the SSA**E devices, see APPENDIX A. Safety Space Arrangement SSA**E.
devices – working with elevator with insufficient pit and shaft top spaces.
Testing the landing door opening detectors
Two persons are recommended to perform this test. The first person tests the landing doors
on all landings and the second person resets shaft access monitoring (SAM) after each test.
The SAM reset possibilities are as follows:
– SAM reset (141:P) button in the MAP
– Key switch (141:S1) on the bottom landing
– Key switch (141:S2) on the topmost landing
– Key switch (141:S3) in car
Step Action Illustration/Note
1 Travel in the car to the topmost floor.
2 When the doors are open, turn the
landing
door emergency opening device
with a triangle key.
SAM activates and
prevents the automatic
closing of the doors.
3 Reset SAM. Use the key switch on the topmost
landing
.
NOTE! Keep the key switch activated
for at least 5 seconds.
