11.7.2 Moving the elevator car with lifting equipment
NOTE! This task requires two maintenance persons. One person
stays on the landing and operates the devices in maintenance
access panel. One person goes into the pit and operates the lifting
equipment. Use two-way radio communication sets if the
maintenance access panel is located at the second lowest floor.
WAR
NING! Use protective cut-resistant safety gloves.
Going to the pit
Inform the passengers that you are about to
move the elevator car in order to let them out
and they must stay calm and not try to do
anything by themselves.
Install the safety fences where needed.
