WARNING! This task requires two
maintenance technicians. Clear and reliable
communication between the maintenance
technicians must be established. If the
maintenance access panel is located at the
second floor, use intercom, walkie-talkies,
mobile phones or other two-way
communication devices. Test the
communication devices before trying to
move the elevator car. If the communication
is lost, stop working immediately.
1. Open the brake.
2. Operate the chain hoist to up direction in
order to pull the b
alancer weight
downwards approximately 150 mm,
immediately after brake opening.
3. Close the brake immediately after moving
the elevator ca
r.
4. Ensure that the safety gears are released.
