A.2 Identifying SSA**E
This section describes how to identify if your elevator is equipped with SSA**E.
SSA** equipment
The temporary safe working space is created with the following additional SSA**E equipment:
Landing door emergency opening device with detection
switches.
Shaft access monitoring (SAM) control and memory unit.
Safety buffers on the car roof.
Connection box on the car roof.
Car top buffer(s) Landing door emergency opening device
with detection s
witches
To run on inspection or normal drive, all
buf
fers must be in the same position, either
horizontally (normal drive) or vertically
(inspection drive).
A landing door opening at any floor with the
emergency opening key is detected
regardless where the elevator is standing
(detected even if the elevator is at landing).
