Alternative Emulation for KPDL Emulation
The auto KPDL (KPDL (AUTO)) emulation enables the printer to
automatically change the emulation mode according to the print job
received. The alternative emulation can be selected using the operator
panel. The default alternative emulation is PCL 6.

Press the or key repeatedly until Emulation appears.

Press the ENTER key. A blinking question mark (?) appears.

Press the or key repeatedly until the message display indicated
KPDL (AUTO) appears.

Press the ENTER key.

Press the > key. When > Print KPDL Errs is displayed, press the
or key. The display cycles through the emulation in the following
order:
PCL 6 (default)
Line Printer
IBM Proprinter
DIABLO 630
EPSON LQ-850

Press the ENTER key. A blinking question mark (?) appears.
