Serial Interface Parameters
This section applies to the printers having the option serial interface
board kit (IB-11) installed.
The baud rate, data bits, stop bits, parity, and protocol for the serial
interface can be set as follows:

Press the MENU key.

Press the or key repeatedly until Interface > appears. One of
the interface names shown below appears, indicating the current
interface.
Parallel (default)
USB
Serial (when a serial interface board kit is installed)
Option (when a network interface card is installed)

Press the ENTER key. A blinking question mark (?) appears.
If you want to abandon the interface selection procedure, press the
CANCEL key. The interface remains unchanged.

Press the or key repeatedly until Serial appears.

Press the ENTER key again.
