Inserting a pH Artifact Marker
YoucanusethepHartifactmarkertoexcludethemeasuredpHfromanalysisforacertaintimewhilekeepingthe
remaining data for analysis.
Thiscanbeveryusefulinsituationssuchaswhenthepatienthasahiatalherniawithanacidpocket,andthepH
channel is measuring the pH at this point.
pH Artifact Marker and pH Results
ForthepHresults,allpHsamplesmarkedwithapHartifactareexcludedforthepHresultcalculation.Thisis
compatiblewiththecalculationmethodusedfortheoverallartifactmarkers.
pH Artifact Marker and Symptom Results
For the symptom results the symptoms between pH artifacts are omitted at the symptom results for pH only. In the
pHanalyzecolumnofthesymptomresults,thesesymptomsaremarkedwithpHArtifact.
ThesamplesmarkedaspHartifactareexcludedinthepHtable,thetext(Artifacttimeexcluded) displays in the pH
tablewhentherearepHartifactmarkersavailable.
