Chapter 7 Operation procedures
NOTE: More details of components can refer to the relevant instruction of parts.
7.1 Preparation
1. Confirm whether the room temperature and humidity is within the allowable rage,
the system cannot boot if not meet the conditions.
2. Check whether the power supply voltage and frequency variation is within the
allowable rage.
3. Check whether every part of the grounding wire is connected well.
4. Check whether there is any unsafety of all cables.
7.2 System boot
1. Check whether all emergency stop button of system are popped up, otherwise the
system cannot boot.
2. Switch on general power supply of the distribution cabinet
3. Press the power switch button on the control panel or computer host to connect the
power supply of machine frame, detector and image workstation (not including generator) ;
4.Press the Power On button on control box of generator;
5. Switch on the power of the computer screen;
6. Start the printer (if have);
7. Check whether the dongle is inserted well;
8. Run the image workstation software.
7.3 X-ray tube warn-up procedures
WARNING: Ensure that the tube is properly warmed-up before efficient X-ray
exposure. Additionally, make sure that no persons will be inadvertently exposed
to unnecessary X-rays during this procedure.
Routine exposures performance will be affected if neglecting to carry out tube warmed-
up procedures. It is recommended that the following procedures will be performed at the
start of each day and when the configure tube has not been in use for approximately one
hour.
Perform x-ray tube warm-up as follows:
Close the collimator blades fully.
Select 70 kV, 100 mAs, 200 mA and 500 ms exposure.
Insure that no person will be exposed.
Make a total of three exposures, 15 seconds apart.
7.4 Radiography operation
7.4.1 Attentions
1. Cut off the power supply immediately if the system running error or other
emergencies happened.
