2. Do not change the program or dismantle the machine, only the maintenance
technicians who were trained could be allowed open the machine, dismantle the
high voltage generator or cables of X-ray tube.
3. Do not use the system if there is explosive gas.
4. Neither patient nor operator, do not stay within moving rage of the machine.
5. Do not lay any object within moving rage of the machine.
6. Ensure all necessary protective measures are taken before exposure.
7. Note routine maintenance, periodic maintenance and calibration of the
equipment.
8. Keep detailed records on the failures and notify the engineer to com to repair.
NOTE: The camera temperature is higher when the system is switched, in
order to obtain high quality images, the system should be kept running stable
for ten minutes to make the camera temperature be cooled down to setting
value (2 ° C).
7.4.2 Modes
RAD operation can be performed in the following modes:
◼ Three points control by selecting kVp, mA and Exposure Time independently.
Microprocessor will count the mAs value automatically when kV and mA are
selected.
◼ Anatomical Programs (APR).
7.4.3 Procedures
A typical RAD examination sequence is as indicated below:
1. Make sure that the X-ray Tube to be used is properly warmed-up.
2. Running the Digital X-ray Control System Software.
3. User log in: the operator shall input user name in log-in interface, and input valid
password into the dialog box and press Ok, then the system is ready to use.
4. Create a check item for patient and enter necessary information.
5. Check and confirm the patient’s information and set exposure parameters.
6. Positioning and center line alignment: According to actual condition of the patient,
position the body part to be exposed, adjust distance form the tube to the radiographic
table, turn on the collimator light to align the center line for focusing.
7. Instruct patient to maintain the required position. Prepare the x-ray tube by pressing
the hand-switch push-button to the “Prep” position and maintain it until the “Ready”
indicator is illuminated.
8. Indicate the patient to hold breath and stay with proper posture, and then press the
exposure button or press the hand-switch push-button to the “Exp” position to expose.
When the exposure is finished, release the hand-switch push-button.
9. Receive or reject the images. The exposure image will be shown automatically and
