Perform Parked RegenerationPerform Parked Regeneration
The DPF must be at Level 2 or higher to perform parked
regeneration. You will not be able to performed parked
regeneration if other engine faults are present. (Figure
4-43)
Any engine fault must be resolved to perform parked
regeneration. Warning/alert icons will appear in the top
banner on the screen. (Refer to Table 4-4, Status and
Warning Alert Icons on Page 4-24) Fault codes may
also appear on the screen. (A complete listing of Fault
Codes is shown in Troubleshooting, Section 5.)
If engine faults are present that pre-
vent the ability to perform parked regeneration, DPF
levels will continue to rise. If the DPF level increases
to Level 4, the engine will become inoperable and
require authorized dealer technician intervention. It
is important to resolve any engine faults immediately
and perform the needed regeneration to prevent
costly DPF technician service if DPF level warnings
or engine faults are ignored.
