Power-onpassword
Ifapower-onpasswordisset,whenyouturnontheserver,youmusttypethepower-onpasswordto
completethesystemstartup.Youcanuseanycombinationof6-20printableASCIIcharactersforthe
password.
Whenapower-onpasswordisset,youcanenabletheUnattendedStartmode,inwhichthekeyboardand
mouseremainlockedbuttheoperatingsystemcanstart.Youcanunlockthekeyboardandmouseby
typingthepower-onpassword.
Ifyouforgetthepower-onpassword,youcanregainaccesstotheserverinanyofthefollowingways:
•Ifanadministratorpasswordisset,typetheadministratorpasswordatthepasswordprompt.Startthe
Setuputilityandresetthepower-onpassword.
•Removethebatteryfromtheserver,wait30seconds,andthenreinstallit.
•Changethepositionofthepower-onpasswordswitch(switch4)onthesystemboardswitchblock(SW3)
tobypassthepower-onpasswordcheck(seeTable3“SystemboardSW3switchblockdefinition”on
