ToviewthePOSTeventlogorsystem-eventlog,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Turnontheserver.
Step2.Whentheprompt<F1>Setupisdisplayed,pressF1.Ifyouhavesetbothapower-onpasswordand
anadministratorpassword,youmusttypetheadministratorpasswordtoviewtheeventlogs.
Step3.SelectSystemEventLogsanduseoneofthefollowingprocedures:
•ToviewthePOSTeventlog,selectPOSTEventViewers.
•Toviewthesystem-eventlog,selectSystemEventLog.
Viewingeventlogswithoutrestartingtheserver
IftheserverisnothungandtheIMMisconnectedtoanetwork,methodsareavailableforyoutoviewoneor
moreeventlogswithouthavingtorestarttheserver.
IfyouhaveinstalledDynamicSystemAnalysis(DSA)Portable,youcanuseittoviewthesystem-eventlog
(astheIPMIeventlog),ortheIMMeventlog(astheASMeventlog),theoperating-systemeventlogs,orthe
mergedDSAlog.YoucanalsouseDSAPreboottoviewtheselogs,althoughyoumustrestarttheserverto
useDSAPreboot.ToinstallDSAPortableorcheckforanddownloadalaterversionofDSAPrebootCD

IfIPMItoolisinstalledintheserver,youcanuseittoviewthesystem-eventlog.Mostrecentversions
