Step20.Reconnectthepowercordandanycablesthatyouremoved.
Step21.Restarttheserver.Thesystembeginsthepower-onself-test(POST).
Step22.Iftheserecoveryeffortsfail,contactyourservicerepresentativeforsupport.

recoverymethod.
Step1.Boottheservertoanoperatingsystemthatissupportedbythefirmwareupdatepackagethat
youdownloaded.
Step2.Performthefirmwareupdatebyfollowingtheinstructionsthatareinthefirmwareupdatepackage
readmefile.
Step3.Restarttheserver.
Step4.Atthefirmwaresplashscreen,pressF3whenpromptedtorestoretotheprimarybank.The
serverbootsfromtheprimarybank.
Out-of-bandmethod
Usethisinformationtorecovertheserverfirmwareandrestoretheserveroperationtotheprimarybank.

Whiletheserverisstarting,iftheintegratedmanagementmoduleIIdetectsproblemswiththeserver
firmwareintheprimarybank,theserverautomaticallyswitchestothebackupfirmwarebankandgivesyou
theopportunitytorecoverthefirmwareintheprimarybank.

onpage160.Afteryouhaverecoveredthefirmwareintheprimarybank,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Restarttheserver.
Step2.WhenthepromptPressF3torestoretoprimaryisdisplayed,pressF3tostarttheserverfrom
theprimarybank.

Configurationchanges,suchasaddeddevicesoradapterfirmwareupdates,andfirmwareorapplication
