Replacingahot-swapdcpowersupply
Toinstallahot-swapdcpowersupply,completethefollowingsteps.
Attention:OnlytrainedservicepersonnelotherthanLenovoservicetechniciansareauthorizedtoinstall
andremovethe-48voltdcpowersupply,andmaketheconnectionstoanddisconnectionsfromthe-48
voltdcpowersource.Lenovoservicetechniciansarenotcertifiedorauthorizedtoinstallorremovethe
-48voltpowercable.Thecustomerisresponsibleforensuringthatonlytrainedservicepersonnelinstallor
removethe-48voltpowercable.
Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginson“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”
onpage31.
Step2.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthehot-swappowersupplytoanyunpainted
metalsurfaceontheserver;then,removethepowersupplyfromthepackageandplaceiton
astatic-protectivesurface.
Step3.Turnoffthecircuitbreakerforthedcpowersourcetowhichthenewpowersupplywillbe
connected.Disconnectthepowercordfromthedcpowersource.
