ForWindowsVista:
1.Connecttheexternalmonitortothemonitorconnector,thenconnectthemonitortoanelectricaloutlet.
2.Turnontheexternalmonitor.
3.Ifthisisthersttimetheexternalmonitorhasbeenconnected,theNewDisplayDetecteddialogbox
opens.SelectShowdifferentpartsofmydesktoponeachdisplay(extended),andthenclickOK.
Tochangetheresolutionforeachmonitor,doasfollows:
1.Right-clickonthedesktop,andclickPersonalize.
2.ClickDisplaySettings.TheDisplaySettingswindowopens.
3.ClicktheMonitor-1icon(fortheprimarydisplay,thecomputerdisplay).
4.SelecttheResolutionandtheColorsoftheprimarydisplay.
5.ClicktheMonitor-2icon(forthesecondarydisplay,theexternaldisplay).
6.SelecttheResolutionandtheColorsofthesecondarydisplay.
7.Placetheiconsforthemonitorssothattheytouch.
Note:Youcansetthemonitorsinanyrelativeposition,buttheiconsmusttoucheachother.
8.ClickOKtoapplythechanges.
ForWindowsXP:
1.Turnoffthecomputer.
2.Connecttheexternalmonitortothemonitorconnector,thenconnectthemonitortoanelectricaloutlet.
3.Turnontheexternalmonitorandthecomputer.
4.Right-clickonthedesktop,andclickPropertiestoopentheDisplayPropertieswindow.
5.ClicktheSettingstab,andclicktheMonitor-2icon.
6.SelecttheExtendmyWindowsdesktopontothismonitorcheckboxandclickApply.(IftheMonitor
Settingswindowopens,clickYes.)
Tochangetheresolutionforeachmonitor,doasfollows:
1.ClicktheMonitor-1icon(fortheprimarydisplay,thecomputerdisplay).
2.Selectthecolorqualityandthescreenresolutionoftheprimarydisplay.
3.ClicktheMonitor-2icon(forthesecondarydisplay,theexternaldisplay).
4.Selectthecolorqualityandthescreenresolutionofthesecondarydisplay.
5.Placetheiconsforthemonitorssothattheytouch.
Note:Youcansetthemonitorsinanyrelativeposition,buttheiconsmusttoucheachother.
6.ClickOKtoapplythechanges.
Usingacolorprole
ThedisplayprovidesacolorprolethatcanworkwiththeMicrosoftImageColorManagement(ICM)
function.IfthegraphicssoftwareyouareusingiscompatiblewithICM,youcandisplayacolorimageon
yourmonitorandmatchit,withthesamequality,onanotherdevice,suchasascanneroraprinter.
