UsingwirelessWANconnections
WirelessWideAreaNetwork(wirelessWAN)enablesyoutoestablishwirelessconnectionsoverremote
publicorprivatenetworks.Theseconnectionscanbemaintainedoveralargegeographicalarea,suchas
acityoranentirecountry,byuseofmultipleantennasitesorsatellitesystemsmaintainedbywireless
serviceproviders.
SomeThinkPadNotebookscomewithabuilt-inwirelessWANcardintegratingsomewirelessWAN
technologies,suchas1xEV-DO,HSPA,3GorGPRS.YoucanconnecttotheInternetoryourcompany
networkwiththebuilt-inwirelessWANcardandthecongurationutilitytomakeawirelessWANconnection
andmonitoritsstatus.

ForWindows7andWindowsVista
IfyourcomputerisequippedwiththeIntegratedBluetoothfeatures,youcanenableordisablethefeatures
bypressingFn+F5.IfyoupressFn+F5,alistofwirelessfeaturesisdisplayed.Youcanenableordisablethe
Bluetoothfeatureswithasingleclick.
TocongureaBluetoothdeviceormanageconnectionsettings,youcanuseBluetoothDevicesinControl
Panel.
1.ClickStart➙ControlPanel.
2.ClickHardwareandSound.
3.ClickDevicesandPrinters(inWindowsVista,BluetoothDevices).
TosenddatatoaBluetooth-enableddevice,doasfollows:
1.Right-clickdatathatyouwanttosend.
2.SelectSendTo➙BluetoothDevices.
