leavetheEnterNewPasswordeldblank,andpressEntertwice.
TochangeorremovetheUser+Masterharddiskpassword,selectUserHDPorMasterHDP.
IfyouchooseUserHDP,dooneofthefollowing:
•Tochangetheuserharddiskpassword,typethecurrentuserharddiskpasswordorthecurrentmaster
harddiskpasswordintheEnterCurrentPasswordeld.Thentypethenewuserharddiskpasswordin
theEnterNewPasswordeld,andretypeittoverifyitintheConrmNewPasswordeld.
•Toremovetheuserharddiskpassword,typethecurrentmasterharddiskpasswordintheEnterCurrent
Passwordeld.ThenleavetheEnterNewPasswordeldblank,andpressEntertwice.Bothuser
andmasterharddiskpasswordswillberemoved.
IfyouchooseMasterHDP,dooneofthefollowing:
•Tochangethemasterharddiskpassword,typethecurrentmasterharddiskpasswordintheEnter
CurrentPasswordeld.ThentypethenewmasterharddiskpasswordintheEnterNewPassword

Supervisorpassword
ThesupervisorpasswordprotectsthesysteminformationstoredintheBIOSSetupUtility.Withoutit,noone
canchangethecongurationofthecomputer.Itprovidesthefollowingsecurityfeatures:
•Ifasupervisorpasswordisset,apasswordpromptappearswhenyoutrytostarttheBIOSSetupUtility.
Unauthorizeduserscannotgetaccesstocongurationdata.
•Thesystemadministratorcanusethesupervisorpasswordtogetaccesstoacomputereveniftheuserof
thatcomputerhassetapower-onpassword.Thesupervisorpasswordoverridesthepower-onpassword.
