CatalystControlCenter”windowopens.
2.ClickGraphics➙DesktopandDisplays➙DesktopManagement➙CreatingandArranging
Desktops.The“CreatingandArrangingDesktops”windowwillopen.
3.SelectDisableLCD,DuplicateorExtend.IfyouselectDisableLCD,thecomputeroutputappears
ontheDVImonitoronly.IfyouselectDuplicateorExtend,thecomputeroutputappearsbothon
thecomputerdisplayandontheDVImonitor.
4.ClickYestoapplythesetting.
ConsiderationsforattachingaDVImonitor
ConnecttheDVImonitortotheexpansionunit,andturniton,beforeyouturnonthecomputer.Otherwise
thesystemcannotrecognizethatthemonitorisconnected.IftheoptionforenablingtheDVImonitorinthe
DisplayPropertieswindowdoesnotappear,tryclosingthewindowandopeningitagain.Iftheoptionstill
doesnotappear,makesurethattheconnectorofthemonitorisattachedrmly,andrepeattheprocedure
forattachingthemonitor.
UsingtheDisplayPortconnector
YourcomputerhasaDisplayPortconnector,thelatestdigitaldisplayinterfaceforconnectiontovarious
externaldevices,suchasCRTmonitors,projectors,orevenHDTV.
Thiscompactconnectorenablesaplug-and-playsetupandsupportsadaptorsthatcanplugintoDVIor
VGAport.

Note:IfyourcomputerisaWindows7model,itdoesnotsupportPresentationDirector,buttheFn+F7or
Win+Pkeycombinationisavailableforswitchingdisplayoutputtoaconnectedprojector.

condence,evenwhenyouareawayfromyourofce.
UsePresentationDirectortoadjustresolutionsettingsandtemporarilydisablepowermanagementtimersto
ensureanuninterruptedpresentation.
PresentationDirectorhassomepredenedpresentationschemes.Toapplyapresentationscheme,youcan
usetheFn+F7keycombination.
TostartPresentationDirector,clickStart➙AllPrograms➙ThinkVantage➙PresentationDirector,and
followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Projectingvideo
Todisplayinformationandmakepresentations,youcanattachadataprojectortoyourcomputer.Attachthe
dataprojectortothemonitorconnectoronyourcomputer.
Note:Itmaytakeseveralsecondsbeforetheprojectordisplaystheimage.Ifyoudonotseeyourdesktop
displayedafter60seconds,trypressingFn+F7toswitchbetweendifferentdisplayoutputlocations.
IfyourcomputerisrunningWindowsVistaorWindowsXP,youcancreateapresentationschemeby
followingtheinstructionsofthePresentationDirector,withtheprojectorattachedtoyourcomputer.Youcan
savetheschemeforafuturepresentationwiththesameequipment.
