PROFINET-wiring
NOTICE
Strictly observe during PROFINET wiring!
Ä Use the ready-made cables from Leuze (see chapter 14.3 "Cables accessories") or the rec-
ommended connectors/sockets.
Ä Always use a CAT5 Ethernet cable for the wiring.
Ä For the conversion of the connection technology from M12 to RJ45, use the
KDSETM12/RJ45W-4P adapter (see chapter 14.4 "Other accessories"). Standard net-
work cables can be plugged into the adapter.
Ä If no standard network cables are used (e.g. due to lacking IP… degree of protection), you
can use the KBET-…-SA user-configurable cable on the BPS (see chapter 14.3 "Cables
accessories").
Ä The individual BPS devices in a linear topology are connected with the KBET-…-SSA ca-
ble (see chapter 14.3 "Cables accessories").

Observe for self-configured or ready-made cables!
Ä For cable lengths that are not available, you can configure your cables yourself.
Ä Use the recommended connectors or sockets or the ready-made cables (see chapter 14
"Order guide and accessories").
Ä Connect TD+ on the M12 plug to RD+ on the RJ-45 plug.
Ä Connect TD- on the M12 plug to RD- on the RJ-45 plug, etc.
