Understanding the MFP control panel messages
System busy,
preparing resources
for job.
The system is preparing the
necessary memory and
connections to begin the requested
job.
Wait for message to clear and the job to
begin.
To cancel the operation, use the
navigation arrow buttons to highlight
Cancel, and then press
✓.
Toner Low The print cartridge is low on toner. To utilize the remaining toner, remove the
cartridge by gripping the handles with
both hands. With the cartridge arrows
pointing downward, shake the print
cartridge back and forth. Reinstall the
cartridge. You may notice reduced print
quality.
Replace the print cartridge.
Tray 1 Missing The tray is either missing or not
fully inserted into the MFP.
Insert the tray completely into the MFP.
Waiting The MFP has received a page of
data to print but is waiting for an
End of Job command, a Form
Feed command, or additional data.
Press Stop. Press the down arrow to
access Cancel print jobs, and then press
✓. Highlight individual jobs, and then
press
✓.

The MFP has received a page of
data to print but is waiting for an
End of Job command, a Form
Feed command, or additional data.
Press ✓ to print the contents of the buffer.
Press Stop. Press the down arrow to
access Cancel print jobs, and then press
✓. Highlight individual jobs, and then
press
✓.
Waiting for redial A fax was attempted
unsuccessfully; the fax recipient
will be dialed again after a waiting
period.
No action required.
