Clean retum air filters every 1

hours, more
often in dusty conditions.
To c
lean
:
1.
Remove filter covers at both sides of cab rear
wall
by
removing two nuts (A).
2. Remove foam filter
elements and clean with
compressed
air.
3. Replace filter elements
and
cove
rs
.
EVAPORATOR CORE
If
air conditioning system produces insufficient
cooling, a possible cause is clogged evaporator
fins.
Fin

clog up starting at the back side of
the evaporator core (again
st
cab wall).
Evaporator core access and cleaning:
1. Remo
ve
RlH console panel (A
).
2.
Relea
se
air
suspensio
n
to
fuUy
lower
operator's seat. Tilt seat (8) forward while
ti
lting
sea
t-back
(C)
rearward until
se
at
is
vertical.
3.
Lift
th
e acoustical
foam
(E) at
top
of
evaporator core
and
remo
ve
two nuts secu
ri
ng
re
ta
iner (
F)
. Remo
ve
retainer.
4.
Tilt evaporator core
fOlWard
and
vacuum off
ba
ck
side of
core
(at
cab
wall).
Use
a
fin
straightener to
loosen
clo
gs
.
5.
Bl
ow
co
mpressed air through core at
an
angle
parallel
to tubing alignment as
shown
.
To
prevent
fin
dama
ge
,
blow
air direct
ly
at fin
edges,
n
ot
at
flat face.
6.
If
the
comp
re
ssed
air
can
not
be
felt
at
th
e
back
of
th
e core,
pr
oceed
as
follows:
Remove
foam filter
(D)
from drain tray
and
clean
with
warm water.
With fitter (D)
still out, pour warm
wa
ter down
through the core
and
lea
ve
it
to soak. (
Th
e
dra
in
tr
ay
will catch
an
d remove
run
-o
ff
.)
7.
Blow
co
mpressed air
through
the core
as
in
step 5. Repeat
warm
water soaking as
req
uired until air
blows
th
r
oug
h evaporator
core f
re
ely.
8. Straighten any
bent
fins
and
reassemble.

brush
away
