• The starter should engage QNLY when the
ground speed lever is in neutral, the steering
wheel is locked. and the header driVe switch is
in the off position,
• Underlhese conditions, the machine should not
move after engine start·up.
If either of the above does not hold true, perform ..
the following nine checks. Adjustments, if required
are described following each check point . A
troubleshooting section follows the check list.

1. Neutral Start Switch: Check that electrical
connections are
good at neutral start switch
(A) . With controls In start-up posfUon as
described above, plunger of switch must be
compressed. Adjust switch support if required.
2. Header Drive Belt
Switch: Check that electrical
connections are goocl at header drive belt
switch
(A) . With controls in start-up position,
(belt disengaged), plunger of switch must be
compressed. Adjust switch support
if required.
