OPERATION
Stopping Procedure
TO
STOP WIND ROWER:
A
WARNING: Do
not
move variable
speed lever rapidly back
to
neutral.
Operator
may
be
thrown
forward
by
sudden
stop.
1.
To slow down
and
stop the windrower,
SLOWLY return the variable speed lever (A)
to neutral.
A
WARNING:
Do
not
use park brake
to
slow
windrower down. This will
result
in
erratic machine reaction
which
could
cause personal injury
as
well
as
damage
to
the brake
mechanism.
2.
Tum
steering wheel until it locks.
3. Move throttle lever
(8)
to low idle position.
NOTE: Avoid unnecessary id
li
ng. Stop engine
if
it will be idling for l
ong
er than 5 minutes.
4.
Mo
ve head
er
drive switch
(0)
to
off
position to
stop header drives.
5. Engage park brake (E) if
ma
c
hine
is
to
rem
a
in
stopped.
A
CAUTION: Park machine on flat
level
ground
only. Keep park brake
properly adjusted at
all times.

TO
STOP ENGINE:

safely parked on a flat, level
surface, header on the
ground
and
the park brake engaged.
IMPORTANT: Before sto

idle for approximately five minutes to cool hot
engine parts (and allow turbocharger,
if
applicable, to slow down while engine
oil
pressure
is
available).
