OPERATION
Transporting the Windrower
TOWING THE WlNDROWER ON A TRAIlER
For transporting the wind rower other than und er
its own power , a side mount trailer (A) carrying all
four wind rower wheels is recommended .
Al so acceptable are side mount trailer s (8) where
the wind rower tail wheels remain on the ground.
For this type, tighten caster set screws, step 7.
below .
For narrower headers , front or rear mount trailers
may be used, providing local laws regarding width
regulations are adhered to .

I. Keep headerfUlyraJsed and reel fUlylowered.
2. Chain winclrtNler seaaefy to traler. Run chains
through triang.w blacl<ets (e) at rear 01
tractor frame legs and through anchor (0) at
rear of frame.. Be sure windrower weight is
centered on trailer for stable load. Block drive
wheels to prevent: movement.
3. Transport width Is approximately 20 It (6.1 mI.
Check local laws for width reg_ and
lighting ()I' maridng requirements.
4. Remember that when towing windrower side-
ways or backwards, sla.v moving vehicle
emblem. reIIectOl'S and warning lights are not
easiy visible. h Is your responsibility 10
adequately maI1< the load when transporting in
this fashion.
5. Set light switch 10 RASHER positioo 10

6. Do not tow the windrovter on a roadway at:

7. Hlowingat speeds over 16 mph (26km/h). on
a type (8) tra~er:
0) Align cast ... wheels with lraier wheels.
b) Tighten caster set screws (E) 1020 Itlbs. (27
N.m) to prevent erratic movement 01 the
casters. Failure to do this will result in caster
damage and could cause loss 01 control.
c) Loosen set screws after transport
