HYDRAULIC

Change hydraulic
oil
every

hours.
To change:
1.
Remove
drain plug
(8)
from bottom of
re
servoir. Allow
oil
to drain.
NOTE: A drain pan with a capacity
of
20 U.

2.
Replace the hydraulic oil filter. See "Hydraulic
Oil
Fitters· in this section.
3, Clean off any metal debris which may
have
accumulated
on
magnetic drain plug.
Replace
plug (8).
4. Fill the system with oil through the filler neck.
See

Fuels,
Fluids
and
Lubricants" for
recom-
mended oil type. Check oil level with dipstick
periodically during filling to pre
ven
t spill-over.

HYDRAULIC

FILTERS
Change hydraulic oil filters after the first 10 hours
of operation and every
300 hours thereafter .
• Filter
(A)
is
located at right side of engine
compartment, under side panel.
• Filter (6)
is
located just ahead of frame cross
channel, near hydrostatic pump.
To change:
1. Clean around the filter he
ad.
2.
Remove the filter element and clean the
gasket surface
of
the filter head.
3.
Apply a thin film of clean
oil
to the gasket on
the new filter.
4.
Install new filter. Turn the filter onto the mount
until the gasket contacts the filter head.
Tighten the filter
an
additional 1
/2
to
3/4 turn
by
hand.
IMPORTANT: Do not use a filter wrench to install
the oil filter. Over-tightening can damage gasket
and filter.
