NOTE:
Adjust the reel forward to position the fingers closer to the ground, while tilting the header back. Fingers/tines will dig
into the ground at extreme reel-forward positions, so adjust skid shoes or header angle to compensate.
Adjust the reel aft in thinner crops to prevent plugging on the cutterbar.
Increase the header angle to position the reel closer to the ground, or decrease the angle to position the reel farther
from the ground.
Raise header, increase header angle, and position reel fully forward in lodged crop for maximum stubble height.
Minimum crop carrying capacity (minimum area of exposed draper between the reel and the header backsheet) occurs
with the reel in the farthest aft position.
Maximum crop carrying capacity (maximum area of exposed draper between the reel and the header backsheet) occurs
with the reel in the farthest forward position.
The finger tip speed at the cutterbar is higher than the reel speed at higher cam settings due to the nature of the cam
action. For instructions, refer to Table 3.2, page 39.
