8 TROUBLESHOOTING
8.1 ENGINE

Engine Hard To
Start or Will Not
Start.
Controls not in neutral.
Move GSL to neutral.

Move steering wheel to locked position.
Disengage header clutch. 5.17.1
Neutral interlock misadjusted.
Contact MacDon dealer.

No fuel to engine. Fill empty fuel tank, replace clogged filter.

Old fuel in tank. Drain tank, refill with fresh fuel

Water, dirt or air in fuel system.
Drain, flush, fill and prime system.
Improper type of fuel. Use proper fuel for operating conditions. 7.3.1.1
Crankcase oil too heavy.
Use recommended oil.

Low battery output.
Have battery tested. Check battery
electrolyte level.

Poor battery connection.
Clean and tighten loose connections.
Faulty starter.
Contact MacDon dealer.

Wiring shorted, circuit breaker open.
Check continuity of wiring and breaker
(manual reset).

Loose electrical connection at fuel
pump.
Ensure connector at pump is fully pushed in. -
ECM fuse (1 of 2) blown.
Replace 7.10.13.1
ECM Ignition relay faulty.
Neutral Logic relay faulty.
Faulty injectors

Engine Knocks.
Insufficient oil.
Add oil.
