The RIBBON is a thin mylar film, coated with ink which is transferred to the

The Ribbon Motors and Take-up Rolls
The RIBBON MOTORS drive the RIBBON TAKE-UP ROLLS, which collect the used

IBBON.
The Ribbon Brake
The RIBBON BRAKE keeps the corresponding unused RIBBON taut. Each

IBBON BRAKE is located to the right of its corresponding RIBBON MOTOR
(Figure 3-9).
