11. With the split in the BRAKE located at each end of the holders facing
upward, place the S
UBSTRATE ROLL back into SUBSTRATE ROLL SUPPORTS.
12. Relocate the L
OCKING PINS.
13. Cut off the first meter of the roll to prevent dirt from reaching the P
RINT
HEADS, Then cut a diagonal piece as illustrated in Figure 8-6.

14. Feed more than a meter of the SUBSTRATE between the SUBSTRATE
GUIDING ROLLER and the sprung SCRAPER, under the IONIZOR, and then
under the S
TICKY ROLLER.
15. Thread the substrate toward the front of the printer, on top of the
rubber rollers and under the G
UIDING ROLLERS, as illustrated in
Figure 8-7. Ensure that the S
UBSTRATE is placed within the limits of the
ribbons’ width and is not protruding over the edges on either side, more
than 915mm.
