SEATSANDRESTRAINTS
Whenwearingseatbelts,thelapbeltsectionshouldbe
positionedaslowaspossibleacrossyourhips,NEVER
acrosstheabdomen.Intheeventofacollision,thelap
beltcanapplyaforceonthehipsandreducethepossibility
ofyouslippingunderthelapbelt.Ifyouslipunderthelap
belt,thebeltwillapplyforceonyourabdomen,whichmay
causeseriousorfatalinjuries.Thediagonalsectionofthe
beltshouldcrossthemiddleoftheshoulderandthechest.
Intheeventofemergencybrakingorcollision,thediagonal
sectionofthebeltwillbelocked.
T oensurethattheseatbeltsalwaysprovidemaximum
protection,ensurethebeltisat,notlooseandcontacts
thebody.

Wearingcorrectlypositionedseatbeltswillprovide
protectionforbothmotherandunbornchildintheevent
ofacollisionoremergencybraking.Thediagonalsection
oftheseatbeltshouldpassacrossthechestasnormal,
thelapsectionofthebeltshouldpassbelowthebelly,low
andsnugonthehipbones.NEVERpositionthebeltonor
