Ifthedriver'sseatbeltisfastened,andtheacceleratorpedal
ispressedforstartoff,theEPBsystemwillbeautomatically
turnedoff.
EmergencyBrakingFunction
InappropriateuseofEPBcanleadto
accidentsandinjuries.DONOTapply
theEPBforvehiclebrakingduringvehicle
running,unlessinanemergency.
DuringemergencybrakingusingtheEPB,
DONOTswitchoffthepowersystem,this
couldresultinseriousinjury.
Intheeventofnormalbrakefailureduringdriving,
emergencybrakingusingtheEPBcanbeinitiatedbypulling
andholdingtheEPBswitchupward.Anaudiblewarning
willsoundduringemergencybraking.Thebrakingprocess
willbecanceledbyreleasingtheEPBswitch.
ServiceBrakeSystem
Anti-lockBrakeSystem(ABS)
TheeffectofABStoacceleratethevehicle
stopmaybelimitedwhendrivingathigh
speedoronslipperyroads(suchasroads
withalayerofwaterthatpreventseffective
contactbetweenthetyresandtheroad
surface).Inallcases,itremainsthedriver's
responsibilitytomaintainsafedistance
withothervehicles.
DONOTdepressthebrakepedal
repeatedlyatanytime;thiswillinterrupt
theoperationofABSandmayincreasethe
brakingdistance.
TheABSismainlyusedtoautomaticallyadjustthebraking
forceofeachbrakewhenbrakingtopreventthewheels
frombeinglocked,thusavoidingdangeroussituationssuch
aslossofdirectionorsideslipduringemergencybraking.
