ReplacingFrontwindscreenWiperBlades
1Withthefronthatchcoverinclosedstate,clickthe
icononthelargescreenandselect"Safety-power
off"inturnwithin20secondsandthenoperatethe
wiperleverswitchbypressingdowntothesingle
wipeposition(see"WipersandWashers"inthe
"InstrumentsandControls"chapter)andreleasing
it,thewiperwillautomaticallymovetotheservice
positionandstoponthewindscreen.
2Liftthewiperarmawayfromthewindscreen.
3Pressthebuttononthewiperarm(asillustrated),
andpulltheupperendofthewiperbladeoutwardto
disengagefromthewiperarm.
4Unhookthebladefromthewiperarmanddiscardit.
5Locatethenewwiperintotheslotofthewiperarm.
6Pushthewiperbladetowardsthearmuntilthewiper
bladeisengaged.
7Placethewiperassemblybacktothewindscreen,and
checkwhetherthewiperbladeisttedcorrectlyto
thearm.
8Operatethewiperleverswitchbypressingdownto
thesinglewipepositionagainandreleasingit,orpower
onthevehicle,thewiperwillexittheservicemodeand
automaticallyreturntoitsoriginalposition.
