AdaptiveCruiseControlSystem
Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemis
designedasacomfortsystemenablingthe
drivertomaintainaconstantspeedor
distancefromthecarinfront.Itprovides
assistancetothedriver,itDOESNOT
replaceanyofthedriversresponsibilities.
Whenusingtheadaptivecruisecontrol
system,itisimportantthatthedriver
maintainsconcentrationatALLtimesand
ispreparedtotakeaction.Otherwise,
accidentsorpersonalinjuriesmayoccur.
Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemcanautomatically
switchbetweenconstantspeedcruiseandcarfollowing
cruisedependingonwhetheritcandetectavehicledirectly
ahead.Constantspeedcruisecontrolsthevehiclewithin
acertainspeedrange.Carfollowingcruiseoperatesby
settingthedistancebetweenthevehicleandthevehicles
directlyahead.
Whenactivatediftheadaptivecruisecontrolsystem
detectsavehicleinthesamelanedirectlyaheaditmay
accelerateorgentlyapplythebrakesofthecartomaintain
thesetfollowingdistance.
Note:Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemisdesigned
forhighwaysandroadsingoodcondition.Itis
recommendednottobeusedonurbanroadsand
mountainroads.
ActivationofAdaptiveCruiseControl
Afterfollowingthevehicleaheadtoa
stop,thedrivermustobserveanylocal
trafclawsandensurethatthereareno
obstaclesorothertrafcparticipants,
suchaspedestrians,directlyinfrontofthe
vehiclebeforeallowingittopullawayand
begintofollowthevehicleaheadagain.
Whilstusingthecarfollowingcruise
functionitisstronglyrecommendedthat
thedriverdoesnottouchtheaccelerator
pedal.Anyactivationoftheaccelerator
willnotallowthesystemtoautomatically
applythebrakesshouldthisbenecessary.
