Thelaneassistsystemisanauxiliarysystem
thatprovidesassistancetothedriver.It
doesNOTremovetheresponsibilityofsafe
drivingfromthedriver.Whenchoosingto
usethelaneassistsystem,thedriverMUST
alwayspayattentiontothesurroundings,
holdthesteeringwheelandbepreparedto
makemanoeuvresatanytime.Failureto
maintainoverallcontrolofthevehiclemay
resultinanaccidentorpersonalinjury.
Thelaneassistsystemdoesnotalways
recognisethelanelines.Sometimespoor
roadsurfaces,certainroadstructuresor
objectsmaybemistakenforlanelines.
Whensuchsituationsoccur,thelaneassist
systemmustbeimmediatelyturnedoff.
Thelaneassistsystemswitchislocatedintheinfotainment
display.Enterthecorrespondinginterfacefordriving
assistancetoturnthesystemON/OFF ,andmakemode
selection.
Alert
Thesystemusesthefrontviewcameratodetectthelane
linesaheadofthevehicle.Thesystemwillbeactivated
whenthefollowingdetectionconditionsaremet:
•ThefunctionisswitchedON.
•Vehiclespeedisabove37mph(60km/h).
•Lanelinemarkingsareclearandthesystemrecognises
atleastonelaneline.
Whenawheelisabouttocrossthelaneline,orhas
alreadycrossedtheline,thesystemwillprovidewarnings
topromptthedrivertotakeactionandmaintainthe
vehiclepositionbetweenthelanelines.Thefunctionwill
automaticallyexitwhenthevehiclespeeddropsbelow34
mph(55km/h).
LaneDepartureAssist
Thesystemusesthefrontviewcameratodetectthelane
linesaheadofthevehicle.Thesystemwillbeactivated
whenthefollowingdetectionconditionsaremet:
•ThefunctionisswitchedON.
•Vehiclespeedisabove37mph(60km/h).
