Overview
TheairbagSRSprovidesADDITIONAL
protectioninaseverefrontalimpactonly.
Itdoesnotreplacetheneed,orrequirement
towearaseatbelt.
Theairbagstogetherwiththeseatbelts
provideoptimumprotectionforadults,
butitisnotthecaseforinfants.Theseat
beltandairbagsystemsinthevehicleare
notdesignedforprotectinginfants.The
protectionrequiredbyinfantsshouldbe
providedbychildrestraints.
Inthecorrespondingpositionwhereairbagsaretted,
thereisawarningsignstating"AIRBAG".TheAirbag
SupplementaryRestraintSystemgenerallyconsistsof:
•FrontAirbags(ttedtothecentreofthesteeringwheel
anddashboardabovetheglovecompartment)
•SeatSideAirbags(ttedtotheoutersideoftheseat
backrestcushion)
•SideHeadImpactProtectionAirbags(ttedbehindthe
headlining)
AirbagWarningLamp
Theairbagwarninglightislocatedinthe
instrumentpack;ifthislightilluminateswhilethecar
