T ryandusethevehiclebetweentherecommended
ambienttemperatures.
Donotparkorstorethevehicleforlongperiodswith
alowstateofcharge,wherepossiblechargethevehicle
assoonaspossiblepriortostorage.
Removeunnecessaryarticlestoreducethevehicleload.
UseofhighpowerconsumingsystemssuchasA/C
andheatingwilluselargeamountsofpower.Thiswill
reducethedrivingrange.
Atahighspeed,wherepossible,closethewindowsto
reducewindresistanceandpowerconsumption.
T rytomaintainasteadyspeedatalltimes,avoid
constantaccelerationandbraking.
Duringacceleration,applytheacceleratorpedalas
gentlyaspossible.
Duringdeceleration,releasetheacceleratorpedal;
undercertainconditionswhennotapplyingthebrake
orgentlyapplyingthebrake,theenergyregeneration
system(KERS)willassistinchargingtheHVbattery
andextendthedrivingrange.
EqualisationCharging
Inordertoassistinextendingtheservicelifeofthehigh
voltagebatterypackitisrecommendedthatanequalisation
chargeiscarriedoutatregularintervals.

IntelligentCharging
The12VbatterySOC(StateOfCharge)isconstantly
monitored,whenthevehicleispowerOFFitispossible,
undercertainconditions,thattheHVbatterywill
automaticallychargethe12Vbatterytoensurethe
vehiclestarts.Thisfunctionwillactivateandswitchoff
automatically.
Note:Thesystemwillsuspendintelligentchargingifa
faultispresent,whenstartingorthevehicleisbeing
chargedbyanexternaldevice.
Note:Thedrivingrangewillbereducedafter
intelligentcharging.
Note:Theintelligentchargingfunctionissuspended
whenthehighvoltagebatteryisinalowSOC.
