Thelaneassistsystemwillbeimpairedor
ineffectiveinthefollowingconditions:
•Thedriverindicatesinthedirectionofthelaneline
abouttobecrossed.
•Thehazardlampsareactivated.
•Thedriverappliestheacceleratorrapidly,carriesout
anemergencymanoeuvreormakesahardbrakepedal
application.
•Thesystemdetectsthatthedriverhasnotmovedthe
steeringwheelforapresettimeperiod(inthemodeof
lanedepartureassistandemergencylanekeeping).
•Duringsysteminterventionthesteeringwheelis
operated(inthemodeoflanedepartureassistand
emergencylanekeeping).
•Thelanelineistoothin,damaged,orfuzzy.
•Irregularordamagedkerbs.
•Thevehicleisdrivenonthebendwithasmallcurvature
radius,theroadistoonarrowortoowide.
•Thevehiclehasjustenteredaroadsectionwithlane
linesorisdrivenonaroadsectionwithoutlanelines.
•Thevehiclechangeslanesorswayslaterallytoofast.
•ThevehicleisnotinD.
•Thevehiclespeedisbelow34mph(55km/h),ortoo
high.
•Theanti-lockbrakesystem(ABS)andthedynamic
stabilitycontrolsystem(SCS)areactivated.
•Faultsexistintheanti-lockbrakesystem(ABS),dynamic
stabilitycontrolsystem(SCS),electricpowersteering
system(EPS),etc.
Itisrecommendedtoturnoffthelaneassistsysteminthe
followingsituations:
•Drivinginasportsstyleormanner.
•Drivinginbadweatherconditions.
