ERROR MESSAGES
Error messages for the SmartPrep 065 are listed numerically. If the Action re-
sponse instructs you to contact your service representative, record the error
message and make backup copies of any files involved in the operation.
30- Error accessing file (file name), error code = (number).
Cause A: Diskette may be damaged.
Action A: Clean the diskette drive. If this does not eliminate the problem,
attempt operation using a backup copy of the file.
Cause B: Hard disk may be damaged.
Action B: Contact your service representative.
Cause C: A software error occurred when the file was accessed.
Action C: Contact your service representative.
Cause D: The name specified contains one or more invalid characters.
Action D: Enter a valid DOS filename (refer to your operating systems
manual).
31- Error writing file (file name), error code = (number).
Cause: The hard disk does not have enough space left to perform the
operation.
Action: Copy files not used regularly from the hard disk to diskette, de-
lete them from the hard disk, and then try the operation again.
32- Invalid response from MMI ’FILE_READ’ request.
Cause: An internal processing and/or hardware error has occurred.
Action: Contact your service representative if you continue to receive
this error message.
