Micromeritics SmartPrep 065 - Software Requirements; Installing the Software

Software Requirements
Your system must meet or exceed the following requirements before you can in-
stall the SmartPrep 065 software:
•
486/66 control module (computer) with eight megabytes of main
memory and 20 megabytes of free disk space
•
Windows Version 3.1 (enhanced mode) or Windows 95
•
DOS Version 5.0 or higher (not required for Windows 95)
•
SVGA monitor (800 x 600 minimum resolution)
The SmartPrep program is designed to be used with the Windows Print
Manager, which queues print jobs and helps the program operate more
efficiently. If the Print Manager is not used, it may take longer to print
reports.
Installing the Software
The SmartPrep 065 software can be used in one of two modes:
•
As an embedded program in the Micromeritics TriStar 3000 analysis
system software.
•
As a standalone program used to degas samples prior to analysis on any
analysis system.
The SmartPrep 065 software is contained on three diskettes: two SmartPrep 065
(Standalone) diskettes and one SmartPrep Setup diskette.

You wish to run SmartPrep
065 as an embedded pro-
gram in the TriStar 3000
analysis system:
Do not install the SmartPrep 065 (Standalone)
diskettes. Proceed to Configuring Devices in this
chapter.
You wish to run SmartPrep
065 as a standalone
program:
