3. Pull the tool upward (with adapter in place) to remove the adapter from the
heating station.
Do not attempt to catch the adapter if the tool should slip out of place.
The adapter may still be hot enough to cause burns.

4. Place the adapter in a cooling rack (see Figure 2-11).
Place heating station adapters in a cooling rack after you remove them
from the heating stations. Do not place adapters near any combustible
material or touch them with your fingers. Do not place a hot adapter on
an unprotected surface such as a countertop. The adapter may burn the
surface.
