Chapter 7 TROUBLESHOOTING
THE PROBLEM IS LOW OR NO FLOWRATE FROM THE POU DISPENSER
CAUSE REMEDY
System is in PRE OPERATE Mode. Place Milli-Q into PRODUCT Mode. See Section 5-1.
No feedwater to the Milli-Q from the Reservoir.
Remove the Feedwater Tubing from the Milli-Q.
Confirm that there is water coming to the Milli-Q.
 Reservoir is empty.
 Fitting on bottom of Reservoir is too tight; gasket on
fitting is flattened and restricts water flow.
 Reservoir is located lower than the Milli-Q.
 Kink in Feedwater Tubing.
 Valve on bottom of Reservoir is closed by mistake.
No feedwater to the Milli-Q from Pressurised Pipe
(Loop). Remove the Feedwater Tubing from the Milli-Q.
Confirm there is water coming to the Milli-Q.
 No water in Loop.
 Water is not pressurised in Loop.
 Pressure Regulator on Feedwater Tubing is not
adjusted to between 0.1 and 0.3 bar while water
is flowing through it (Milli-Q in PRODUCT Mode).
See Section 4.7.
 Pressure Regulator is installed backwards. See
Section 4-1.
Millipak is airlocked. 

ent air out while system is in PRODUCT Mode.
See Section 4-9
Millipak is clogged and will not allow water through it.  Measure water flow with and without Millipak
installed. Change Millipak and vent air out. See
Section 4-9.
Screen Filter Clogged.  Clean the Screen Filter. See Section 6-6.
Problem with internal component (motor not operating;
Inlet Solenoid Valve not opening; etc).
 Contact Millipore.
Remote POU Dispenser connected wrong or not
plugged into the Milli-Q.
 Check tubing connections on back of Milli-Q. See
instructions that came with Remote POU Dispenser.
