THE PROBLEM IS LOW RESISTIVITY OF THE PRODUCT WATER
CAUSE REMEDY
Ion Exchange Capacity of Q-Gard Pack and Quantum
Cartridge exhausted (used up).
Replace Q-Gard and Quantum at the same time.
Non Temperature Compensated Resistivity values
shown and water temperature is > 25 C.
Check the Temperature Compensated Resistivity
Value. See Section 4-13.
Conductivity values (S/cm) displayed. Nothing wrong. Change to a Resistivity Display to
check values. See Section 4-12.
Something other than a Q-Gard Pack is installed by
mistake.
Check Catalogue Number of installed Pack. See
Section 8-1.
Ion Exchange Resin was fouled by high levels of
Colloidal Species in Feedwater. Occurs with

Perform a SAN. CYCLE Sanitisation and Cleaning
of the UF Cartridge. See Section 6-5 for more
information.
UF Cartridge is slightly ‘dirty’. Perform an AIR PURGE. See Section 6-10 for
more information.
Resistivity is low immediately following the completion
of a Sanitisation and Cleaning of the UF.
Perform an AIR PURGE and then go to PRODUCT
Mode for several minutes to rinse the UF Cartridge.
Repeat the AIR PURGE if necessary.
