QUICK START PARAMETERS
Alter the Quick Start Parameters as required to suit installation requirements.
If the Quick Start Guide (PL-431) was used, proceed
to .
Refer to Application Examples for assistance, if requ ired.
P001 OPERATION
Enter the type of RUN mode operation desired.
Select: "level", display Empty (P006) to material level distance (Point 1 and/or 2 only).
"space", display Span (P007) to material level distance (Point 1 and/or 2 only).
"distance", display transducer face to material level distance (Point 1 and/or 2 only).
"DPD", dual point differential level (Point 3 only, Point 1 and 2 must be "level").
"DPA", dual point average level (Point 3 only, Point 1 and 2 must be "level").
"tripper", equipment position monitoring greater than 60 m (200 ft) (Point 1 only).
For: "DPD" or "DPA" operation, all Quick Start Parameter values should be
identical for Point 1 and 2.
When: "DPD" is selected, Point 3 = Point 1 - Point 2
"DPA" is selected, Point 3 = (Point 1 + Point 2) ÷ 2
"tripper" is selected, see ECHNICAL REFERENCE Application Examples\Example 6.
"out-of-service" is selected, the transducer is not scanned, alarm relay(s) energize, pump
relay(s) de-energize, and mA output(s) go to the Empty vessel value.
values: 0 = out-of-service
1 = level
2 = space
3 = distance (preset)
4 = difference (values 6 and 7 are not used)
5 = average
8 = tripper
P002 MATERIAL
Enter the type of material to be monitored.
If the material presents a flat surface perpendicular to the transducer beam, select liquid.
values: 1 = liquid or flat surface (preset)
2 = solid
P003 MEASUREMENT RESPONSE
Enter how quickly the DPL+ is to respond to changing measurements.
Slower Measurement Response improves stability and reliability.
values: 1 = slow ( 0.1 m / min )
2 = medium ( 1 m / min ) (preset)
3 = fast ( 10 m / min )
4 = surge ( 1.7 m / sec )
5 = turbo ( 17 m / sec )
