Radio Leak Test
This section discusses radio immersibility concerns, tests, and disassembly and reassembly of the
radios.
8.1
Vacuum Leak Test
The vacuum leak test is performed to ensure that the radio is IPx8 compliant. Perform this test after
servicing the radio and before returning the radio to the customer.
The following parts are required to perform a vacuum leak test:
Vacuum Leak Tester
The Vacuum Leak Tester comes with a gauge and a vacuum hose. A connector with an O-ring, which
must be ordered separately, connects the vacuum hose to the radio leak test fixture. Purchase the
