POWER STEERING FLUID
Check the fluid level when it is at ambient temperature, 20° –
80° F (-7° – 25° C):
1. Check the fluid level reservoir. It should be between the
MIN and MAX indicators. Do not add fluid if the level is
within this range.
2. If the fluid level is low, start the engine.
3. While the engine idles, turn the steering wheel left and
right several times.
4. Turn the engine off.
5. Recheck the fluid level on the reservoir. Do not add fluid if
the level is between the MIN/MAX levels.
6. If the fluid is low, add power steering fluid in small
amounts, continuously checking the level until it reaches the
proper range. Mobility Ventures recommends using Mercon
®
LV Power Steering Fluid.
