subjects. In Channel Masking, any change made for one subject will automatically be applied to the
other, i.e., both subjects will always have the same Channel Masking.
The recorded data are saved in two different folders, ‘Subject1’ and ‘Subject2’, that are located in the
experiment-specific main directory (see Section 6.3). The files are saved as if two identical instruments
(same number of sources and detectors) had been used to run the experiment. Gains (extension .set and
.hdr), Channel Masking (.hdr), Subject Demographics (.inf) and Raw Data (.wl1, .wl2) are separately saved
for each subject; while the Triggers (.evt) and the Topo Layout (.tpl) are the same and present in both
folders.
19.2 Hyperscanning 3D Display
The advanced display options as outlined under section 17 are also available for hyperscanning
experiments. If the ‘Perform Hyperscanning option is selected in the Channel Setup tab, the
‘Hyperscanning active?’ indicator in the Standalone control GUI will appear green (Figure 85).
Click the Setup Probe button to set up a topographic display as described under section 18.2. Scalp
positions should be specified for half of the total numbers of detectors and sources. The configuration
needs to be entered only once and will be replicated for the second subject.
After clicking on ‘Prepare Display, two identical Figures will appear (Figure 85). Please note that the
close” option (X) of each figure is disabled. If one wants to change the Plot Mode, please switch the
button under the standalone control GUI and click on Prepare Display.
