Parallel illumination considerations
Per LED driver card a maximum number of four sources may be used for simultaneous (parallel)
illumination; this satisfies the most commonly encountered experimental situations. Trying to use a
larger number of sources within the same cycle will cause an alert:
While it is possible to use more than four sources per card in parallel it may be necessary to limit the
overall power consumption of the electronics by either reducing the light intensity, lowering the scan
rate, or both.
Hyperscanning
Enables the Hyperscanning capability. See section 19 for a complete description.
Subject Demographics
When checked, a dialog for entering subject demographic information will appear prior to starting the
recording (see section 11).
If it is desired to use more than four sources per driver card in parallel please reach
out to technical support to assist with the proper instrument setup.
The hardware is internally protected against undue power consumption. As a result,
choosing an inappropriately high number of parallel sources may result in
protective LED shutdown and, as a result, severe data corruption.
