3.5.2 Function
The VER register records version information for the PCB board as well the board
architecture. The PCB board version can change without impacting the board architecture
version, and vice versa.

1= V1
2= V2 (etc.)
The ARCH field starts at 1 and is only changed if major software-impacting architectural changes to the
board occur: changes to PHY vendors, memory devices, etc.
