2.1 Important Safety Information
This manual provides safety information in the following formats:
Safety Symbols
Table 2.1 shows safety symbols that are found on the Quantum GX2 microCT and in this manual.
CAUTION: A caution note indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury and/or mechanical damage. It is also
used to alert you to unsafe practices. It reminds you that all safety instructions should
be read and understood before installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of this
imaging system. When you see this symbol, pay particular attention to the safety
information presented. Observance of safety precautions will help avoid actions that
could damage or adversely affect the performance of the Quantum GX2 microCT
Imaging System. If the equipment is used in a manner not specified in this manual, the
protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
WARNING! Used when an action or condition may potentially cause serious personal
injury or loss of life. Mechanical damage may also result.
VOLTAGE! Provides safety information about high voltage or risk of electric shock.
