6.11 Ring Reduction
The ring reduction algorithm helps reduce image artifacts and is turned on by default. Figure 6.32
shows example images of before and after ring reduction.
Sometimes ring reduction may result in image artifacts (Figure 6.33). The artifacts are usually minor.
However, if they are unacceptable, you can turn off ring reduction and repeat the acquisition.
